Judge Moves to Force Sale of Nicki Minaj’s $20 Million Mansion to Settle Security Guard Assault Judgment

A California judge is preparing to authorize the forced sale of Nicki Minaj’s $20 million Hidden Hills mansion after the rapper and her husband, Kenneth Petty, allegedly failed to pay a court-ordered $500,000 judgment awarded to a former security guard who suffered a broken jaw during an altercation at one of her concerts.

The dispute dates back to a 2019 incident in which security guard Thomas Weidenmayer said he approached Minaj backstage with concerns about fan safety. According to his lawsuit, Petty later confronted him physically, punched him in the face and fractured his jaw, leaving him requiring multiple surgeries.

Earlier this year, a judge ordered Minaj and Petty to pay $500,000 in damages. Weidenmayer’s attorneys now argue the couple has “refused” to pay despite repeated requests, leading the court to consider more aggressive enforcement measures, including seizing and auctioning Minaj’s property.

Court filings reviewed by Rolling Stone show Weidenmayer’s legal team has already placed a lien on Minaj’s luxury estate, and the judge indicated on Monday that he is ready to approve a forced sale if payment isn’t made immediately.

Minaj’s attorneys have not publicly responded to the newest development. Petty, who is already on lifetime supervision due to a sex-offense conviction, has faced additional scrutiny in recent years for repeated legal issues.

For Weidenmayer, the move marks a turning point in a years-long fight for compensation. His lawyers say Minaj has the resources to settle the judgment but has simply chosen not to, leaving the court with little choice.

With the judge now signalling readiness to enforce the lien, Minaj’s legal team may face a narrow window to avoid a highly publicised forced sale of her home, one of the most prominent properties in the exclusive Hidden Hills enclave.
