Hampshire have put themselves in position to reach the Women's One-Day Cup final, moving level with The Blaze after a seven-wicket victory that brought them a bonus point. Maia Bouchier's 118, her fourth century of the summer, anchored a chase of 250 that was completed inside 40 overs and left Hampshire and The Blaze level atop the group after each side finished 16 matches.

The consequence is straightforward: if The Blaze lose their last group game to Essex on Friday, Hampshire will qualify directly for the final on 19 September and Nottingham-based The Blaze would drop into an eliminator against the third-placed side. The Blaze remain heavy favourites to reach a third final in 2026, since they now require only one point from their meeting with Essex to secure a place.
The Blaze had set Hampshire 250 after reaching 249 for 7, opener Tammy Beaumont top-scoring with 56 as several batters failed to convert solid starts into big scores. Hampshire's reply was built on an opening partnership of 98 between Maia Bouchier and Ella McCaughan, followed by a second-wicket stand of 116 that included Abi Norgrove's 52 to put the chase well beyond reach. Norgrove was dismissed by Grace Ballinger and Bouchier fell to Cassidy McCarthy after striking 16 fours in a 107-ball innings, but the required runs had already been collected.
Elsewhere, Surrey strengthened their eliminator hopes by bowling Warwickshire out for 55 and winning by 10 wickets. Kate Coppack claimed 5-22 as the Bears collapsed, before Rachel King, unbeaten on 41, and Alice Monaghan chased the small target in 10.2 overs. Somerset also kept alive a bid for third place with a five-wicket win over Lancashire; Seren Smale's 82 had helped Lancashire to 240 for 9, but Jess Hazell's unbeaten 77 brought Somerset home with 13 balls to spare. Those results leave Somerset a point behind Surrey and set a decisive final group match between the two at The Oval on Saturday, with the loser eliminated.
In the day's final fixture Essex beat Yorkshire by eight runs at Chelmsford after captain Grace Scrivens led the hosts with 87 as Essex were bowled out for 241. Yorkshire could only manage 233 in reply. The coming fixtures, The Blaze versus Essex on Friday, and Surrey versus Somerset on Saturday, will determine who advances straight to the final and who must contest the eliminator.
