Todd Blanche,President Donald Trump’s former lawyer,has been confirmed as US attorney general following a narrow Senate vote.
The Senate approved Blanche by a 50-49 margin,elevating him to lead the US Department of Justice.
His confirmation follows controversy surrounding his role at the Justice Department,the Epstein files and a disputed $1.8 billion anti-weaponization fund.
Blanche previously served as Trump’s lawyer before assuming his new position as the country’s attorney general.
