So, for the shape and the size of him and the attributes that Yoel Romero's got, I would expect him to more to put the pressure on and force the win. He doesn't seem to do that. Even with the last couple of opponents he's had, he's paid a little bit too much respect to them and let them have a little bit too much space. I feel like with Darren being longer, maybe he just catches him. But, who knows? I think Yoel can bang as well and he's like a freak isn't he, he doesn't get knocked out. It's going to be an interesting fight."
Weir, who has returned to competition after a serious car crash interrupted his career, echoed the view that speed will decide the contest. He acknowledged Romero's accomplishments while stressing two practical concerns, age and the weight cut. "I feel like, look, I'm not being disrespectful to Romero. He's an incredible athlete and he's done a lot more than what I've done in combat sports. He's been at the highest of highs," Weir said, adding, "But, at 49 years of age and at the weight class they're gonna try to get down to, I think it'll just be too much for Romero. I think he will give Darren a first round but again, with the dehydration of getting him to the 86 kg, I think Darren's just going to be faster and more switched on on the night. I think speed's going to kill Romero off in this one and I can actually see Darren winning in the second or third round."
Till arrives in BKFC off a debut knockout of Aaron Chalmers, a result that appears to have shifted expectations within the UK roster. The promotion is also planning a November 7 show in Scotland, underscoring BKFC's push in the British market.
