Startup founders attending Disrupt will get a rare look at how an A-list entertainer turned serial entrepreneur approaches investing, when Mark Wahlberg appears on the main stage with Bruce K. Lee, founder and CEO of Keebeck Wealth Management.
Wahlberg’s appearance is scheduled for Disrupt 2026, which runs October 13-15 at Moscone West in San Francisco. The event will host more than 200 sessions and 250+ industry leaders, and organisers expect over 10,000 attendees. Ticket prices rise on September 25, with early buyers able to save up to $200.
Wahlberg arrives with a résumé that spans film and business. He broke out with 1997’s Boogie Nights and has since earned two Academy Award nominations, a Golden Globe nod for The Fighter and multiple Emmy nominations as a producer, including work on HBO’s Entourage. Beyond acting, he has built a production company, a restaurant chain, apparel and fitness ventures, a portfolio of angel investments and the 25-year-old Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation.
At Disrupt he plans to talk about the transition from instinct-driven entrepreneurship to a more institutional investing discipline, with Lee serving as a guide. The conversation will cover where he has focused deal-making, including an emphasis on healthcare and wellness startups, and it will examine mistakes he has had to unlearn and the role of trust in opening doors to new opportunities and deal flow.
Organisers describe the session as a practical, candid discussion rather than a celebrity showcase, promising takeaways on mentorship, the mechanics of scaling investment activity, and how cultural capital can translate into access for founders. For attendees, the session offers a chance to hear how a high-profile entrepreneur negotiates credibility in financial rooms and where he sees technological and market opportunity today.
What happens next is straightforward: the Disrupt schedule will place Wahlberg and Lee on the main stage during the conference and ticket rates increase September 25. Founders and investors who want to attend should secure passes before that deadline to lock in the lower price.
