Wizkid has been confirmed as the first headliner for the 2026 Detty December Fest in Lagos, where he will perform at the Grand Opening Concert on 18 December.
Organised by The 360Co, the festival will run from 18 to 30 December and expand to a two-stage format focused on music, culture and entertainment.
The new Detty Pulse Stage will host a daily programme of nightlife, cultural events and performances by emerging African artists throughout the 13-day festival.
Dare, co-founder and group chief creative officer of The 360Co, said the additional stage is intended to give rising talent opportunities to perform alongside established headliners while keeping the festival active each day.
He said the expanded format reflects the growing global influence of African music and the ambition behind the festival’s programming.
Wizkid’s appearance will be his second consecutive Lagos show after his “G.O.A.T: The Greatest of All Time Experience” in December 2025. The singer released the joint EP Real, Vol. 1 with Asake in January and has since featured in collaborations with Vybz Kartel, Odeal and Jorja Smith.
The inaugural Detty December Fest in 2025 drew more than 40,000 attendees and featured performers including Busta Rhymes, Gunna, Tiwa Savage, Shenseea, Juma Jux, Diamond Platnumz, Wande Coal, Phyno, Fave, Young Jonn, Qing Madi and Ice Prince.
The festival returns as Lagos’ Detty December period continues to grow in cultural and economic significance. A MO Africa Company report estimated that the 2025 season generated N396.5 billion in consumer spending across the city.
