At least four people, including a child, were killed in Russian attacks on Kyiv and surrounding regions early Saturday as Moscow continued waves of drone and missile strikes against Ukraine.
Russia has been exploiting Ukraine’s depleted air defences to intensify its aerial attacks.
The latest strikes came as Ukraine continued its own long-range campaign against Russian energy infrastructure, hitting another oil refinery inside Russia.
Kyiv has been carrying out near-daily attacks on Russian oil facilities in an effort to increase pressure on Moscow’s fuel supplies.
The exchanges underscore the continuing use of long-range strikes by both sides, with Russia targeting Ukraine through sustained drone and missile attacks while Kyiv focuses part of its campaign on Russian oil infrastructure.
