The Tonight Show is doubling down on short-form satire, ordering a second season of its billionaire microdrama Who Billionaire? Me Billionaire and routing episodes to Peacock and the show's social channels beginning Sunday, Sept. 27. The vertical, which first ran in late July, will debut its initial bite-sized installment during Jimmy Fallon’s episode that night, which follows Sunday Night Football.

Sponsor support continues: the oral care company TheraBreath is attached to the new season. The series has been positioned as late-night television’s first microdrama, and competitors are already circling the format, with The Daily Show planning a different satire of short serialized sketches.

Season two brings back the program’s marquee performers, including Fallon, John Stamos, Kasey Esser, Rose Kelso and Delaney Rowe, and the show has promised surprise guest stars. The new episodes pick up amid heightened drama around Fallon’s character Chaiston, whose instability accelerates as Brax, played by Esser, grows suspicious that Prestina, played by Rowe, may be having an affair, a thread that culminates with one character in a coma.

Distribution will mix broadcast and streaming. After the premiere on Sunday, episodes one through six will be posted to Peacock and The Tonight Show’s social platforms. A further episode will air during Monday’s Tonight Show, and episodes seven through 12 will appear on Peacock and other social channels.

The Tonight Show reported that the franchise’s first season reached 27 million viewers. That audience figure and the retained cast suggest the program will remain a promotional asset for the late-night show, while the Peacock window gives the microdrama a longer shelf and broader reach across streaming and social inventories.

What happens next is a two-pronged release across broadcast and streaming, and the show’s performance this fall will test whether branded, bite-sized serialized satire can sustain repeat viewership and keep advertisers engaged.
