WildBear Entertainment has reworked its senior management to accelerate international expansion and extract greater long-term value from its catalogue, rights and creative services. The Australian factual specialist said the move creates an eight-strong leadership team intended to sharpen commercial and creative decision-making as the industry evolves.

Co-founder Michael Tear remains chief executive. Serge Ou, also a co-founder, moves into the newly described role Head of Creative Services, taking responsibility for production, post-production, design and visual effects. Alan Erson has been appointed Managing Director of Premium Television and will oversee WildBear’s factual slate and creative strategy.

Executive producer Craig Meade is promoted to Head of International TV, while Harriet Pike leaves the chief operating officer role to become Chief Strategy and Growth Officer, a position WildBear calls pivotal. Pike’s brief expands to cover international activities plus digital and post services, the company’s catalog and rights, and commercial opportunities. Meade and Pike will collaborate with distributor Wild Thring Media on new commissioning opportunities, co-productions and the global potential of WildBear’s content.

The remainder of the new leadership line-up includes Caroline Nicols as chief financial officer, Matt Nightingale as Head of Production and Miranda Kelly as Head of Production Finance. WildBear, one of Australia’s oldest factual producers, employs around 100 people across Australia and New Zealand and produces about 150 hours of programming a year.

The company is known for factual titles including Stuff the British Stole, Rise of the Dictators and Every Little Thing. Tear framed the change as a response to wider industry shifts: "Our industry is undergoing the biggest transformation we've seen in decades," he said. He added that the reorganisation brings together strong creative and commercial talent and signals WildBear’s intentions to expand internationally and build partnerships that create cross-platform value.

The restructure preserves the company’s existing production scale while delegating clearer responsibilities for international sales, rights exploitation and post-production services. WildBear has positioned the new team to pursue commissioning, co-production and global distribution opportunities as it seeks to convert its factual output and intellectual property into broader commercial returns.
