Dozens of women who participated in Gen Z-led protests in India say they are facing a barrage of online threats and doxxing in the aftermath of the demonstrations.
The protests, led by the Cockroach Janta Party, resulted in the removal of India’s education minister.
While the protest movement itself has ended, women who took part say the consequences have continued online and through the legal system.
According to protesters, the women are now fighting on two fronts: court proceedings and a wave of doxxing and online threats targeting those who participated in the demonstrations.
The situation has shifted attention from the protests themselves to the treatment of participants after the movement ended, particularly women who say they have become targets online.
