Collectors and movie-car fans can bid on a full-scale Mad Max tribute now listed on Bring a Trailer, the listing closing on September 23. The vehicle is a bespoke conversion of a 1984 Ford F-150 into what the seller calls the Humungus Machine, a single-seat interpretation of Lord Humungus’s rig from The Road Warrior.

The Tacoma-based builder Mad Max Cars carried out the transformation. The truck keeps its 5.8-liter V-8 from the donor F-150, an engine that from the factory produced only around 200 horsepower. Visually and theatrically, the rig delivers. It runs a PA system for issuing threats and has flame-shooting exhaust pipes. The builder also fitted a dramatic body, a large rear spoiler that serves a styling role rather than aerodynamic downforce, and a multi-axle configuration that the listing implies increases traction and presence on the road.
Practicality is secondary. The cabin is set up for a single occupant, with external grab points intended for additional riders to hang on. The cargo area is described as roomy enough to carry two captured enemy scouts lashed to the front in theatrical scenarios, underscoring the vehicle’s show-first purpose.
