Ferrari is adding painted car panels to its Collectibles range, giving buyers the chance to hang a road-car hood or dorsal section that bears original design sketches. The pieces, sold under the name Sketch Body, mount an actual panel on a display frame and overlay Flavio Manzoni’s initial drawing marks, turning sheetmetal into a visible record of how a design evolved.

The idea follows a one-off 812 Competizione Tailor Made that featured sketch traces across its exterior, and Ferrari says the new panels can be produced from any current model. The release extends a program that previously offered race-used Formula 1 hardware and other car-adjacent items, bringing showroom materials closer to gallery display for high-end collectors.
Ferrari has positioned Sketch Body as both a decorative object and a demonstration of the design process. For owners of models such as the 812, the company suggests it could match a panel’s paint to the owner’s car, making the framed piece a curated complement to an existing vehicle. The company has not published prices for the Sketch Body panels.
The Collectibles series has already included engine components and sections of Formula 1 cars, including items tied to drivers such as Charles Leclerc and Rubens Barrichello. Sketch Body shifts the focus from race provenance to studio provenance, emphasising the hands-on work of the design studio rather than track history.
For buyers, the product reframes a familiar asset: instead of purchasing a complete car as a static object, collectors can acquire a visible fragment that highlights creative authorship. Ferrari’s announcement leaves two practical questions open, availability and cost, which the company has not yet disclosed. Those details will determine how widely Sketch Body fits into Ferrari’s existing market of branded accessories and authenticated motorsport relics.
