Palestinians sheltering in displacement camps in Gaza lost lives and shelter on 14 September after Israeli strikes struck multiple locations, killing at least two people and wounding others, hospital and health officials said.
Footage from Abu Khadra camp showed torn canvas, bloodstains and personal belongings strewn across the ground after the attack. The Israeli military said it carried out four strikes it described as targeting militants. Camp manager Shaaban Abu Zeidieh reported that four tents were completely destroyed and that people were hit in a passageway between shelters.
Health officials also reported strikes in Zawaida in central Gaza and in Khan Younis in the south, adding to injuries recorded at medical facilities. Authorities did not provide a breakdown of civilian and combatant casualties for the incidents reported on Monday.
The incidents feed into Gaza’s wider casualty toll since the cessation of major operations in late 2025. The Gaza Health Ministry’s tally records 1,372 Palestinians killed and 4,659 injured by Israeli fire since the ceasefire began in October 2025. The United Nations regards those totals as generally reliable, while noting they do not distinguish between civilians and combatants.
The events on 14 September underline ongoing security operations and the continuing humanitarian cost inside Gaza’s displacement sites. Local managers and health officials are continuing to document damage and casualties, and the ministry’s figures will incorporate the new cases into its running count.
