Ever Anderson used her Venice Film Festival debut to advance both her acting profile and her fashion identity. The 18-year-old promoted the Barthélemy Grossmann action-thriller Father Joe, in which she appears opposite Kiefer Sutherland and Al Pacino, while leaning on a wardrobe that mixed museum-era pieces with current couture.

Anderson described the film as a rare creative fit, saying, "It was just such an incredible project to work on." She spoke about connecting quickly to her character, adding, "Her empathy and non-judgmental lens toward others was what drew me toward her," and calling the script so vivid that "her spirit quite literally jumped off the page."
Her outfits were part of the statement. For press she wore a 1930s silk-organza dress sourced from Avalon Vintage in Highland Park, Los Angeles, accessorised with a 1980s Christian Dior necklace and matching earrings. Dior supplied green heels and, as Anderson noted, "a pearl-colored soft leather clutch," details she said modernised the vintage silhouette.
At the official photo call and the premiere she wore two bespoke Dior designs by Jonathan Anderson, a pairing that coincided with her status as an official ambassador for the house. One gown, from Dior’s fall 2026 collection, was a blush-pink strapless with petal-like pleating; Anderson said, "I felt like I was taken to another dimension of flowers and spat out as a flower human hybrid," describing how the piece moved. For the formal premiere she chose a textural, embellished slip from Dior’s resort 2027 lineup, calling the sequin-and-paillette dress "easy to wear, but super fun and flashy, which of course Jonathan Anderson delivered spectacularly."
Venice was tightly scheduled, and Anderson acknowledged the pressure of press and midnight screenings. "I love Venice, I wish I could spend more time here," she said, noting late arrivals and back-to-back obligations left little room for sightseeing. Her mother, Milla Jovovich, reacted enthusiastically to the festival appearances, Anderson added, "She was so happy for me, I literally called her right after to tell her about it."
With the festival behind her, Anderson plans to return to Paris and reclaim ordinary pleasures. "Honestly, I can’t wait to get home and have a cup of coffee and read on my couch or at a cafe," she said, and sketched a low-key autumn: "I’ll be working of course, but in my spare time, I take fall very seriously: I’m gonna be Gilmore Girls -ing up my apartment, lighting candles, and getting those fun fall coffee syrups to bring the vibe." The appearances in Venice have sharpened her public identity, then, while she prepares to step back into quieter routines and upcoming work.
