Buyers will see higher starting prices and a broader power range when GMC begins delivering the redesigned 2027 Sierra 1500, the company announced. Pricing released this week covers only four-wheel-drive crew-cab models, with the Sierra Pro beginning at $51,295 and the range topping out with the Denali Ultimate at $87,895.
GMC listed six trims for the 4WD crew-cab. After destination charges, prices are: Sierra 1500 Pro $51,295, Elevation $59,995, AT4 $73,495, Denali $76,795, AT4X $85,495, and Denali Ultimate $87,895. Notably, GMC removed the SLE and SLT trims for the 2027 update and did not provide a full breakdown for other cab and bed combinations at this time.
The model year brings new powertrain choices. A refreshed 2.7-liter TurboMax four-cylinder, now rated at 350 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque, is standard on the Pro and Elevation trims. GMC also introduced two V8s: a 5.7-liter small-block that produces 402 hp and 428 lb-ft, and a new 6.6-liter V8 that delivers 481 hp and 501 lb-ft. The 5.7-liter is standard in AT4 and Denali and can tow up to 13,500 pounds; it is optional on the Pro and Elevation. The 6.6-liter is standard only on the Denali Ultimate and is available as an option on the AT4X.
A 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel inline-six is also part of the lineup, producing 305 hp and 495 lb-ft. GMC lists the diesel as standard on the AT4X and optional on the Elevation, AT4, Denali, and Denali Ultimate. The company said it will publish pricing for different cab and bed configurations as production expands and additional models become available.
GMC expects the 2027 Sierra to begin arriving at dealers by the end of the year. For now, buyers can weigh the new engine choices and the updated trim ladder against the published 4WD crew-cab prices, with more detailed cost information to follow as the full production schedule unfolds.
