Pro and Max subscribers gain a single front end that combines Claude chat, Cowork and Artifacts, removing the need to pick between tabs and windows.
The redesigned interface presents chat, collaborative Cowork sessions and the interactive Artifacts workspace inside one window. Claude Design, introduced in April for website and prototype design, can be used from anywhere within the unified interface. Anthropic said customers previously had trouble deciding which tab to use, and the new layout routes requests to the appropriate tool without manual switching.
Alongside the interface merge, Anthropic added dedicated Slides and Docs capabilities. The assistant can create, edit and present slide decks, and users can download generated presentations as a PDF or PowerPoint. The Docs tool supports building sections, asking questions about content and commenting on finished parts. Documents and slide decks can be shared via a link and edited on mobile.
The company also built continuity between desktop and mobile: a user can ask Claude to begin a document on desktop and monitor progress from the mobile app. These productivity features follow an upgrade to Cowork’s memory layer, which helps Claude retain user context across chats.
The update will reach Claude’s Pro and Max plans first, rolling out on web, desktop and mobile over the coming weeks. Anthropic plans to extend the unified interface and the new Slides and Docs features to free and team tiers at a later date.
