Buyers will pay an extra $4,995 for a 2027 Wrangler that explicitly channels the Willys CJ-2A, Jeep announced, with orders opening in October. The JL-2A is the latest entry in Jeep’s "Twelve 4 Twelve" series, mixing period cues from the 1945 civilian Jeep with the current Rubicon’s equipment and comfort.

The package leans on the CJ-2A’s palette, assigning Gobi tan to the two-door and an olive‑green called '41 to the four-door. Customers who prefer a more modern finish can specify Bright White, Sting Gray, Ghost, or Joose instead.
Visual throwbacks include 17-inch retro-style wheels finished in bright orange, wrapped in standard 33-inch BFGoodrich KO2 All-Terrain tires, and orange tow hooks at the front and rear. Dark metallic grey highlights the seven-slot grille area, and the roof and fender flares are color-matched to the body for a cohesive look.
Inside, the JL-2A combines orange contrast stitching with a Nappa Heritage Tan and Bison Brown interior that echoes the original model’s tan seats. The cabin adds heritage touches such as air vents stamped with a seven-slot grille icon and a Willys silhouette, a shifter topped by a Willys-Overland medallion, and a plaque hidden behind the rear swing gate that lists farm and factory settings.
Underpinning the JL-2A is the Wrangler Rubicon. Buyers can choose a 285-hp 3.6-liter V-6 or a 270-hp 2.0-liter turbo four, paired with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic. Off-road hardware includes electronic locking front and rear differentials, an electronic anti-roll-bar disconnect, a 4.10 rear-axle ratio, and standard four-wheel drive. The Convenience package is standard as well, and the JL-2A adds a front TrailCam with integrated washer.
Jeep says the JL-2A package costs $4,995, $115 more than a similarly equipped Rubicon, and notes that this year’s Rubicon starts at $47,810. That pricing puts the JL-2A at an expected starting point near $53,000. Orders open in October, when buyers can reserve the heritage-themed model for the 2027 line.
